Review- Earthnicity Minerals

Today's review is about some products from Earthnicity minerals.

Earthnicity minerals is a UK based mineral makeup company and produce all-natural mineral makeup for all ethnicities of the world in accordance with their motto "Beauty for all the colors of the world"

They sent me their Light-Medium sample kit for review which includes two foundation samples,one concealer,one finishing powder and one full sized Kabuki brush.

I'll start by reviewing the foundations first.

Mineral Foundation:

Our mineral foundations provide a matte, yet natural-looking finish which lasts throughout the day. They provide natural sun protection, and are water-resistant. Our foundations are free of bismuth oxychloride and talc.
The two shades that the kit includes are Honey Beige and Natural Buff.

My Experience

The fact that the sample kit includes two shades of foundation made me happy because most of the mineral foundations I've tried before were lighter than my skin tone. These two shades are supposed to match light to medium skin tones thus honey beige is lighter with cool undertones and Natural buff is a bit darker with warm undertones. I believe Natural buff matches skin tone better. 

While browsing their website i noticed they have a wide range of foundation shades available and even have shade guide chart to help you choose your shade in a better way.

This foundation has a nice smooth texture and blends quite well. It leaves my skin matte while looking natural and very smooth. It didnot totally hide my pores but didn't accentuate them either. The coverage this foundation gives is light to medium.I do layer it up for a better coverage but it still doesn't look cakey or feel heavy on skin.

About the staying power,well,it stayed on my face for a decent period of time considering the fact that it is mineral.I had to run for touch up after about 4 and a half hours.

CONCEALER:

My Experience:

I never really thought about buying or trying powder concealers. The shade of this concealer is very light so i knew that i won't be able to use it over my acne scars.But for checking it's concealing power i used it over my face and it did help in reducing the appearance of my scars,not like a stick concealer though.To apply this properly you have to be quite precise. I suggest using a brush with small area such as a lip brush or a stiff rubber smudger. The best way to apply it is by damping your brush first so that the powder sticks to the brush and gets transferred to the proper place without getting messy.

What i enjoyed was using it under my eyes.Since the powder is so smooth and fine it also makes the area under my eye look airbrushed and gives a brightening effect to my eyes.For this i use a damp concealer brush.

It's also great for using under your cream eye shadow as a base to help it stay better since it is dry so it will make your eye shadow stay in place for a longer period of time.

You need a very small amount of this concealer so it's going to last you long.Approximately 2 months of regular use.( as suggested by the earthnicity website)

Mineral Finishing Powder.

Mineral Finishing Powder.

Our mineral finishing powders can be worn alone or after foundation. With their silky texture and light-reflecting properties, they are the final touch towards a smooth, flawless and glowing complexion.

My Experience:
I don't know why my camera couldn't capture the true appearance of this powder. It's so pretty and sparkly.
It appears light pink in the jar but looks colorless when applied. The sparkles are very tiny and gives a glowy look. I just use my fingers to apply it over my cheekbones and,sometimes,brow bone to while stepping out at night.
The powder is very fine and smooth and easy to swipe across your face.
I also sometimes use it over my clear lip balm and it looks so gorgeous.
However i noticed that it doesn't stay for a long time. After some time the shimmer got scattered around my cheek.It didn't look bad but i wanted it to look how it did in the start.It was prettier.If you are someone who doesn't like sparkles on your face this may not work for.More over this powder is best suited for night.

Full Sized kabuki Brush.

My Experience:

I was delighted to see a small cute kabuki brush inside the kit. It's small and handy to be carried around. 

I did have some issues with it's bristles. They can be a bit scratchy and the ones around the corner started coming off even before i used it.

I applied the foundation with it and since the bristles are a bit harsh on the skin i wasn't able to blend it out properly.

I wouldn't mind using it if i didn't have any other brush around but since i do,I don't think its going to touch my face a lot.

But yes for dusting off excess of powder it may work well. Keep a very light hand and it can dust off that unwanted powder from your face.

If you have space issues in your bag and don't want to carry a big powder brush then this might help you.I think it works fine for touch-ups.

For me it was really nice trying out products from this brand. The quality is quite good and if you are a mineral makeup lover this brand is definitely worth a try.

Review+EOTD- My Face Cosmetics Blingtone Eyeshadow.

Today's review is about My Face cosmetics's Blingtone Eyeshadow in "Black Ice"

Blingtone-Black Ice:

There was no other place she'd rather be than Ibiza. On any night she could be found in the middle of the dance floor at Amnesia or Pasha, entranced by the music and the rhythm of the atmosphere. She adorned her eyes with black ice, a blend of greys and silver, crushed onyx, diamonds and mischief...a perfect complement to the decadence of the island.

My Experience:

As the name suggests the eyeshadows in the blingtone range are super sparkly. Black Ice is a charcoal color and the glitter in it is of perfect size. It's not big nor too small but perfect enough to give a wet effect when applied. When i first saw the sparkly surface of this eyeshadow i thought maybe,like other eyeshadows,the sparkle is just on the surface and may disappear once i swatch it.I was wrong.It's present in the entire product. I used a damp brush to apply it on my eyes (above) and i noticed that when used wet it gives more of a metallic look.If i apply it dry the glitter is more obvious. On first application (dry) the color appears sheer with a lot of glitter. However you can always put on a second layer to increase the intensity of the color. This didn't bother me since mostly i apply my eyeshadows wet,and when you use this one with a damp brush,one layer is enough to achieve a dark color.

The thing i liked the most was that even though it's loaded with glitter,the fallout was negligible.It is packed with crushed pearl and pigment.I didn't end up having a sparkly face.The glitter is quite sticky i guess.

It's staying power is really good.It lasted me for about 6-7 hours without creasing however i noticed some glitter going all the way up till my brow bone.

When used wet,the glitter is kind of suppressed so when i want to create a more sparkly look i just apply a dry layer of this shadow on the wet one.

FINAL NOTE: This is a very nice super sparkly eyeshadow. Use it on it's own or over your matte eyeshadow to make it look more glam,either way this would make your eyes prominent and ready to party.

I love skincare products as you all know.This time it's By Nature's skincare and aromatherapy range that i'm reviewing.

Nourishing Face Night Cream

My Experience:

The word nourishing caught my attention the moment i looked at it. I do believe some parts of my face need proper nourishment so i started using it the day i got it

Okay so first, i'm in love with it's fragrance.It smells like juicy grapes! I would say it's more like grape flavored bubblegum. I love going to bed smelling nice.

This cream has a very nice smooth texture.It's not heavy or greasy at all so my skin also feels light while wearing it. 

I switched my L'Oreal night cream with this one to see how it works and i must say i'm very happy with the results. It instantly makes the skin smooth supple and baby soft i can feel my skin smooth even in the morning.
It contains Shea butter and grapeseed oil-Dogrose and I've had good experiences with products containing Shea butter in the past so it was wonderful to use this cream as well.
Because it leaves my skin so soft i use it as my evening moisturizer as well.
It would work great on all types of skins but during summers it may not work for people with really oily skin.

FINAL NOTE: I really like this cream. It makes my skin so soft and smooth without feeling heavy.It's fragrance is what keeps me using it over and over again.

Body Butter:

Nourishing body butter with sprudel salt and natural oils - cream and vanilla.
Nourishing, moisturising and softening body butter with almond oil, vitamine E, sprudel salt and cocoa 

and shea butter for soft and well cared skin. With sweet scent of cream and vanilla. PARABEN FREE.

My Experience:

This body butter has even better fragrance. It's just like bubblegum! I so love it.

I use body butters a lot because my arms and legs can get really dry at times. This one has a nice thick consistency but i noticed that its not greasy unlike my other body butters.It immediately gets absorbed in the skin and leaves it soft and moisturized.I squeeze out a small amount of product and that is enough to moisturize my whole arm.

I apply it on my arms after I've used my hair removal cream and it soothes my skin very well and reduces the redness that appears on my skin.Since it smells so nice,it also eliminates that weird smell that the hair removal cream leaves behind.

I use it on my hands while stepping out of the house because i want them to smell yummy.

The best time to apply it is when you have just taken a shower.It makes your body feel nice and smooth and also its fragrance lasts for a longer time.

FINAL NOTE: It's one of my favorite body butters nowadays and what makes it my love is mainly its fragrance. I wish it lasts till the winter season comes so that i can enjoy it to the fullest

SENSITIVE Massage Body Oil

My Experience:

This is my first body massage oil. What made me excited about this oil was that it can be used for aromatherapy. 

For first few days i used it to massage my mom's feet and it made them soft and reduced the appearance of cracks.

Then i went ahead and mixed this with few drops of Lavender essential oil and massaged my mom's feet again and this time she said she felt much relaxed and it lessened her tiredness.

I wanted to try it on myself too so i mixed it with my essential oil again and added few drops of the mixture to lukewarm water and soaked my feet in it. It felt heavenly. Not only did it relax my muscles but also made my feet really soft.

This massage oil can also be used during winters when your arms start shedding flakes of dry skin(at least my arms do).

FINAL NOTE: I love this oil. Specially using it as a base oil for aroma therapy was truly an amazing experience for me. Now all i do for some relaxation is just mix it with essential oils,add it to water and soak my feet in that water.
