Review+Swatch- L'Oreal Color Riche Les Blancs Nail Polish

Inspired by SS runway collection and the colors of macaroons, L'oreal introduced this new range of nail polishes which includes a vareity of pastels. The one I have is in the shade 859 Gourmandise.

My Experience:
This is the first time I'm trying out pastel lilac on my nails and I love how it looks. The color screams summer and instantly draws attention to my nails. The formula is a little streaky on the first application so I had to apply 2 coats to achieve an opaque color however I like the applicator, its flat and ensures an easy application. I'm a sucker for good packaging and I'd just go ahead and get anything that will look good on my vanity. If you go through the whole color riche range by L'oreal you'll notice the incorporation of gold in each of their product and so does the packaging of this nail polish range. The gold cap looks amazing.
Overall it's a nice collection and anyone who likes pastels for nails will fall in love with this collection for sure. I personally like how lilac stands out on my nails.

Review+Swatches- Essie Nail Polish

One of the biggest highlights of 2013, for me, was the launch of Essie polishes in Pakistan. I finally got to try 2 shades from the brand. Read on for swatches and review.

Left: Steel-ing The Scene
Right: Swept Off My Feet

Steel-ing The Scene

 Swept Off My Feet

Steel-ing The Scene

 Swept Off My Feet

My Experience:

Steel-ing the scene is pure metallic silver with minute shimmer which is unnoticeable when viewed from a distance. I see it as more of a nail art color since I'm obsessed with silver lines and polka dots but it looks stunning on it's own too. Swept Off my Feet is a rose-berry color and looks absolutely gorgeous on Asian skin-tones. Both the colors are sheer and need two coats in order to achieve full opacity. The applicator of these polishes is a little narrow for my liking though. It doesn't cover up my whole nail in one swipe so I have to make sure the color reaches both sides of my nails.
Overall I really like these polishes. I love how Essie offers an enormous range of colors and each one of them has a unique name. Those who are obsessed with painting nails will love the whole range.

Where To Buy: Right now Essie is a salon only product in Pakistan. You'll have to go to your nearest salon to get an essie manicure. Click Here to find out the salons in your city that carry the brand. I do wish they bring it out in stores soon.

NOTD- Luscious Designer Nail Color-Sania Maskatiya

Luscious launched their designer nail colors sometime back. The shades looked amazing so I got myself a few of those. Today I'm wearing "Sania Maskatiya".

Sania Maskatiya is a bright pastel yellow. I personally love pastels for nails so this color is one of my favourites from the collection. The formulation, however, put me off. It's a little thick and doesn't dry quickly. I have to wait a little more for the application of two coats.

Have you tried the designer nail colors by luscious? Which one is your favourite?

Review & Swatches- Color Studio Neon Nail Colors

There's nothing better then bright funky nails in summer. I paint my nails almost everyday specially when I'm wearing my favourite outfit. Here are some trendy colors from the Neon collection by Color Studio Pro.

Neon Pink

Neon Devil

Neon Orange

My Experience:
I love wearing bright colors on my nails. The NEON range introduced by Colorstudio pro has an amazing range of fun shades from Neon yellows to bright greens, they have it all.I have three shades from the collection
Neon devil, Neon pink and Neon orange.

Neon devil is a dark versatile pink color , Neon orange, as the name suggests, is orange shade but somewhat sheer.I had to apply 2-3 coats to get the full color. The most opaque of the three,Neon pink is a barbie pink color and looks absolutely stunning.
All of them are such cute summery shades. I like the formulation but the shade selection totally made me fall in love. You hardly find such bright Neon colors over here, and the ones that are available are priced a little higher.
Neon collection is comfortably priced at 350pkr so you can actually go ahead and try out many of the shades. I'm going to collect more shades from this range since they look so appealing.
Not only that, they actually donot take alot of time to dry out which is a good thing because I usually paint my nails in the morning when I'm getting ready. I cannot say anything about the staying power of these colors since I keep switching colors every day.I'll update you guys once I leave them on for longer. I tried sticking some pink glitter on my ring finger over Neon pink and it looked breath taking. I really want them to come up with a basic minty color but for now these shades are gorgeous.

Review- Konad Stamping Kit and Bump it Up Hair Volumizers From Born Pretty Store.

So recently i got an opportunity by the "Born Pretty Store" to try out two of their products.
Basically Born pretty store is an online shopping site which offers a great variety of beauty products and their specialty is the wide range of Nail Art products they have on their website.
I got one DIY nail art stamping kit and a pair of hair volumizers.

DIY Nail Art Stamping Kit:

The kit contains three products. An image plate that has 9 designs,a stamp and a blade.

This is the result i got after 2 tries.
I know i still need a lot of practice until i master it

My Experience:
I'm not good at anything related to nails.I mean i do like nail art alot but I'm not that good at it.When i received it,i had already seen a couple of videos on how to use it and it seemed quite easy but it took me a while until I realized that thin nail polishes don't really work with it.After i used a relatively thick color,it went all smooth.
So basically what you do is that you take the plate, choose which image you want to transfer on your nails. Then simply cover that image with your nail polish.Take the blade and wipe of the nail polish that you just applied on image. As the images are engraved on the plate the nail polish will sink into the images and all the excess will be wiped off by the blade.Place the stamp on the image, the nail polish inside the image will get transferred to the stamp.Place the stamp on your nails and you have nails with the image you desired.
You need a really thick polish for a thick "drawn with hands" effect. Other wise the image will actually look like a plain stamp. I was so excited for the hello kitty image but my nails were too thin for its whole face to appear. I'll keep trying to make it work though since i love hello kitty.
Over all i think it's such an amazing invention,It's cheap, gets done in no time and you can easily do it at home. It's available only for $3.88.For some one like me who's not good at doing nails, this kit is perfect. You do need a little practice before you start applying it perfectly.

WHERE TO BUY: Born Pretty Store

Hair Bump It Up Soft Velcro Insert Hair Volumizers.

My Experience:
I happen to have dead straight hair and even though their are not thin, because of the texture they look completely flat and Usually in pictures I end up looking like a potato. I love anything that says "volumizing". So these really appealed to me when i saw them on the website.
They are sponge pieces with a band around that sticks to hair. They are very light and do hide in my hair pretty well.
Yes these sponges perform a decent job at creating a bump on top of your head.I personally hate teasing since its very damaging and requires more effort to create that perfect bump. These are better substitutes for teasing. You just place them under a section of hair and you are good to go.But i noticed they work better when your hair are tied up.If i use them when i leave my hair open,my hair strands just slip from the top of thesponge so i have to secure them with a pin. The sticky band,in the start, sticks to the hair well but after sometime it slips down since my hair are very silky. I wish they had holes through which i could secure these with bobby pins but since i'm going to use them whenever i go for a tied up hair-do its not going to be a problem for me.
I heard they are as good as bumpits but since i haven't used Bumpits i can't say anything but they sure are a lot cheaper.
Over all i really liked these volumizers. I think I'll be using them a lot while attending formal events.
