Review- Luscious Face Contour kit

The whole makeup industry is on a highlight/contour kick right now with tons of companies coming out with their versions of highlight and contour palettes. The luscious face contour kit that you guys see here was recently launched and features four shades-two contour and two highlighting powders.
I do like the bronze metallic case that it comes in and you get a guide inside showing techniques for highlighting and contouring different face shapes. The powders have a soft texture and are decently pigmented. In the pan the contour powders look cool toned however upon swatching the dark contour leans more towards warm side but thankfully it doesn't appear orangey on my skin tone (Im NC25 for reference) I use the dark contour to carve out my cheek bones and jawline and for my nose and sides of forehead I reach for the medium shade.

The highlighter, however, turned out better than what I had in mind. I'm very picky when it comes to highlighters because I have a few skin bumps right above my cheekbones so the last thing I want is to highlight those. But this one is quite subtle and gives a nice glow to my face rather than making it look like a disco ball. As for the white illuminator, I'm not a very big fan of this shade. It has a beautiful sheen and is supposed to be used on your under eye area for a lift but I felt like on my complexion it kind of turned my concealer grey. Even though it's not full on white and blends away but having strong yellow undertones, my skin couldn't keep up with this shade. This might look gorgeous on lighter skintones but it will probably put off darker complexions.

I have to say I'm not a huge contour person I mean I love watching contouring videos (bless you instagram) but in person I'd only contour my face for special events and that's why I never invested in big palettes like Anastasia baverly hills or the smashbox trio so for me, this palette does the job wonderfully. The only shade I'm missing here is a banana shade which looks beautiful under eyes. So the banana shade in place of the white illuminator would've made this palette a huge hit. But nonetheless I'm happy with rest of the shades and for a person like me whose not into putting too much effort for contouring, this is actually a pretty good palette.
The luscious Face contour kit is available online on the luscious cosmetics website as well as drugstores nationwide and is priced at 2250Pkr.

Review- Sleek Glisten Me Liquid Iluminator

I've been looking for a good liquid illuminator since ages. So when Just4girls.pk announced that they've become the official re-sellers of Sleek makeup,I scanned all of sleek's product and stumbled upon this illuminator. I can't believe I didn't pay attention to it before. I should have gone for it ages ago.
Sleek Glisten Me Liquid Iluminator
A liquid illuminator containing light reflecting mica pigments for highlighting areas of the face such as the brow and cheek bones to create a glowing appearance. It can also be used to add a glistening look all over the body.

For highlighting, apply a small amount of the liquid to finger tips and smooth gently over the skin. For an overall glowing complexion, mix a small amount of the product with your usual foundation and apply. 30ml

Sleek Glisten Me in Empress.

My Experience:

The one thing I've always wanted to have was that glossy glow on cheeks. It just looks so amazing and glam but I don't think I ever succeeded in creating it,the result of a foundation with dewy finish is another thing,I'm talking about that extra shine that adds an oomph to you face.
This illuminator actually gave the result that I was expecting. I never paid attention to it on sleek's site. My main interest was towards their blushes and eye palettes. Where the hell was I sleeping?

So after doing a little research I couldn't resist myself from ordering this.It comes in two shades Empress and Goddess. I got empress since it was lighter. Goddess has more of bronze tones to it. Since I only wanted glow I went for empress. If you are more of a bronzed glow person then Goddess might be the one for you. The container is a small glass bottle with 30ml of product. I think it is alot since you need a very small amount for application. They've provided with a spatula under the lid. The amount present on half of the spatula is enough for both cheeks in my case.

The texture of this illuminator is very smooth and creamy. It's neither too thick nor runny. I like how light  it feels on skin. The last thing you want on your face is something heavy on top of your foundation.
Since it blends very easily you need a very light strokes of brush to set this on your cheeks.I use a stippling brush for my application but that's just my preference. You can use your fingers as well to apply it by tapping it on the areas you want to highlight. I usually take some out at the back of my hand, dip in the stippling brush and apply it on the face. If I want an intense glowy look I stipple it very lightly but if it's day time and I just want a glow, then I just swirl the stippling brush to blend it in.

It's lasting power is okay though. On my face it lasts for around 2-4 hours. I wish it lasted more because when you're out,the few things you may re-touch are only powder, blush or lipstick. Highlighter is not something that I would carry around in my bag.

Since it is colourless, you don't have to worry about the colour of your foundation being changed. You can easily apply it on specific parts like cheeks,On the cupid's bow nose or even collar bones without creating colour, but just sheer natural glow.

If you want a very light glow all over your face, you can even mix some of it with your foundation. I did try that but I like to use separately more than when mixed with foundation simply because I have big pores around my nose and I don't want to highlight them. Speaking of pores, even when using it separately,do not bring it anywhere near your open pores or bumpy skin. They'll get accentuated and make your skin look bad.

End Note: Love this Illuminator! It's probably the best highlighter I've tried so far so I'm gonna be repurchasing this when I run out of this bottle (If Ever!). If you're a fan of glowy cheeks then I would definitely recommend this.

Where to buy: Just4girls.pk(For Pakistan.They are now the official re-sellers of sleek over here so you won't have to pay extra charges for the products.) and Sleek

Price: 1150Pkr, $8.00

Review- Too Faced Leopard Love Complexion Perfection Kit

I love collecting blushes/bronzers and if they come in the loveliest packaging ever, I just can't resist them. I'm talking about the Too Faced Leopard Love complexion perfection kit.

Pink Leopard

Candy Leopard

Peach Leopard

My Experience:
I have to admit this kit has remained on my wish list since forever. I mean just look at it! It's so pretty . I'm a huge sucker for leopard print and I love the site of this kit in my stash.
You get a bronzer(Peach leopard),blush(Candy Leopard) and highlighte(Pink leopard)r inside the kit. There's a mirror on the lid too.
As far as packaging and look is concerned,I couldn`t have wished for a prettier palette. But things are not all smooth here. If we talk about about practicality of this palette, than it may not be on the more practical side.
Their pigmentation is not how I had in mind. With candy leopard the least pigmented of the three,I've to work hard to bring a flush of color to my cheeks.  Peach leopard is okay in pigmentation and pink leoaprd serves somehwat good as a highlighter.
Pink leopard is a frosty highlighter but it doesnt look as frosty on cheeks as it does inside the pan.
The size of these three cheek colors is small with 2.5 grams of product in each pan. If you take the palette as a whole combining the three pan its not less but individually it may turn out less for you depending on your prefrence for use of any of the color inside.
The leopard print is not very deep. The design started fading away from candy leopard after some uses. Its still there though but just not as neat. For this reason I'm afraid of using it frequently.I seriously don't want the leopard design to disappear.
On the whole let me put it this way. If you want to beautify your blush/bronzer collection than there is nothing better than having this palette but if you want something that you want to use on daily basis or frequently, this may not be the one.

WHERE TO BUY: Apothica or Too Faced
Price: $29.70

DUPE: An inexpensive dupe for the peach leopard in this palette would be the NYX bronzer in "When Leopard gets a tan"

Have you guys used it? What do think about it?
Do let meknow :)
