Review- Color Studio's Pro Dip & Graphique Eye Liners

Todays review focuses on two water proof eyeliners from Color studio pro. Read on to find out how they turned out for me.

                                                           Left: Graphique
                                                           Right: Pro-Dip

My Experience:
You guys might already know that this whole year I've remained commited to lining my upper Lashline only. I don't wear Kajal on daily basis anymore and for this reason I've been trying out several eyeliners. These two eyeliners were released in summers by Color Studio Pro. And I have used them quite alot since then.

I'll start off with Pro Dip which you guys can see comes with a silver cap and has a marker tip applicator. Marker tip liners are my personal favorite because of the hold they give you over the precision of your line. Let it be a wing or barely-there close to lashes line. But this one has a little thicker tip then my other liners.I have to be a little careful because I draw the thinest line and problem comes while starting the line from the inner corner of my eye, so I take off all the access amount of liquid before I apply it on that part of my eyes. Pro-Dip has a slight glossy finish. It has an extremly small amount of shimmer which is barely noticeable but it's still there.

Graphique comes with a standard brush tip applicator which is extremely thin and precise. While It may not be suitable for beginners, It has proved to be workable for me. Not only Do I use it to line the outer corner of my eyes, but it works extremely well for linning my lower lashline. Since the brush is very thin, it draws a beautiful thin line.It also helps me create a precise line if I want to extend my liner a little. I basically use it for this purpose. Graphique has a total matte finish and dries fast. You can tell from the swatches, while Pro-dip looks wet, graphique dries quite fast.

Since I have to stay at my university for pretty long time I definitely prefer something that would stay on my lids for most of the time. The 100% waterproof claim was exciting for me. They are definitely water resistant but after a couple of hours they leave flakes which I found a little annoying.
I do like these liners for their color and intensity. Moreover they are placed in the comfortable price range so this makes them score an extra point.

Where To Buy: Just4Girls.pk, Beauty Arena
Price: Pkr 400 each.

Review- BH Cosmetics Day and Night Palette

Okay guys, it’s been an extremely long time since my last post. I kept getting mails from a few people asking if there's something wrong. Well first! YES! There was something wrong. And it was the blogger. My blog was facing issues regarding posting and editing. I've been asking for help on Google product forum but all in vein, until I changed my laptop.

So this is an overdue post, and as much as I was dying to review this, blogger kept coming in my way.
Anyways today we have the all new "Day and Night Palette" from BH cosmetics. You guys might have heard about this already.

My Experience:

As the name suggests, this palette has been created to full fill your basic Day and Night time eye makeup needs. This has been achieved by including 30 colors that are light and soft and then the other 30 are dark and bold.

The BH Day and Night is pretty sleek palette, unlike the usual 80-80 color palettes which are mainly square-ish and tend to occupy a lot of space, this one is not even nearly that broad, however length wise it's almost the same.

So this one is a better option if you want to travel and you think you're going to need a lot of different colors for your eyes.

Talking about pigmentation, I had two reactions when I swatched the colors. While swatching the light ones It was more like an "Hmm not bad" moment for me but when I jumped on to the darker ones it was a clear "Whoa!" that came out of my mouth.

The lighter colors are pretty smooth and the shades are pretty too but a few colors disappointed me with the pigmentation, I had a hard time building some of them so a primer is a must underneath them. But others were very smooth and silky, but I loved the pigmentation and texture of the dark section of this palette.

The colors are extremely beautiful and some are quite unique too like this vampy red which I did not have in any of my palettes before, along with that, the main aspect that contributes to my liking is the pigmentation and texture. The colors get picked up extremely easily and look as gorgeous on skin as in the palette.

There weren’t any noticeable fallouts with the lighter colors, but 3-4 darker ones did have a slight shedding while application. But I don't really mind that since the colors are pretty gorgeous.

You'll find all shades of colors that are widely used on eyes along with different finishes according to your own taste. There are matte colors, pearls and even shimmer. All needs catered!

End Note: If you're someone who thinks those 88 or 120 color palettes are a little too much for your makeup needs, THIS is the palette for you! It doesn't have un-necessary colors which stay there untouched, but an array of most gorgeous and usable colors. A primer is needed for some of the colors that are on the lighter side. But the darker ones pop-out with even a light application. The name "Day and Night" is definitely justified.

Where to Buy: BH cosmetics. Pakistani girls can get it from Beauty In Budget 4 u, Beauty Unleashed Or IMP

Review- Color Studio Knock out Eye Marker

I use eyeliner on daily basis but it has to be extremely precise and close to the lash-line. After I saw the small and thin tip of Colorstudio's knockout marker, I just had to get my hands on it.

My Experience:
I still remember the first felt tip liner I bought a couple of years ago which was in the shape of a marker and after trying it out, I decided I'd NEVER get a felt tip liner again. But since I read a few positive reviews on Color studio's Knockout marker I thought I should give it a shot mainly because of the precise and thin tip.

As I said I wear eyeliner on daily basis but an extremely thin one. As close to lashline as possible, but the dip-in liners don't do a very good job. Plus sometimes I end up getting the liner on top of my lids or just crooked.
I was eyeing NYX's skinny marker until I saw the one by colorstudio at a very reasonable price. I was ordering the beauty blending sponge (which I'm loving you guys!!! I'll post up a review soon), so I thought I might as well get this one.

With the first try, I knew that this is not one of "those" markers I've tried before. It's tip is more "wet" and loaded with the product. Upon application, it came out very nice and smooth but not that intense. I waited for a few seconds then applied a second coat. There it was! nice and dark line.

It's not water proof at all and will start to come off with the slightest contact with water so beware. My lids are not that oily so it stays on for a good amount of time on me but I dont really wear it on days when I have to stay out longer outdoors or have a hectic schedule. I can't take raccoon eyes.

The part that I love the most about this product is the ease of application. Man its easy! The tip is precise and thin so I have a good control over the thickness and shape of the liner. I think even the person with the most unsteady hand will do a good job with this. The tip is stiff enough to resist over bending but soft enough to follow the natural shape of your eyes, So the product applies exactly at the point where you want it.

End Note: This is the first felt tip marker that I like and hasn't dried up. Perfect for daily use and saves me a lot of time. Not very intense on first coat but can definitely be built up to achieve a more opaque result.
A great product for beginners or those who cant line their eyes smoothly.

Review- L.A Colors Jumbo Eye Pencil

While I was going through beautyjoint I came across L.A colors jumbo pencils and suddenly something clicked my mind. Doesn't these remind you of NYX jumbo pencils? They sure do look alike. I HAD to give them a try.

L.A Colors Jumbo Pencil in Sea Shells

My Experience
I got the shade " Sea Shells" just to try out since it's a basic white color and you can't get wrong with it.

Even though It looked very promising on the site, I was still a little scared on the inside about it's formula, texture, longetivity and color pay off. C'mon! It's for $1.75, I couldn't help it. But I was surprised to see the the quality of this pencil. It's actually pretty amazing!
The texture is extremely soft and smooth and glides on beautifully. I personally find it a teeny bit more creamier than NYX jumbo pencil. The color payoff too, is mind blowing. It's equally opaque as NYX.
As an eyeshadow base it does a nice job too. It makes them pop out and prevents them from creasing. Nowadays It's too hot in Pakistan and still it held my eyeshadows pretty well.

For a person like me who's concerned about the outlook of  makeup products, L.A girls is a winner. The lids of my NYX pencils started cracking after a few days of usage, and looked messy not only that, after sharpening, because of decrease in height, the tip of the pencil touches the top of lid and gets smudged all over. I haven't experienced this with L.A colors jumbo pencil. They've made the diameter of the lid small at the end so that it doesn't cover the pencil and the tip remains separate from the top of lid.

As for the amount of product, You get 3.8grams unlike NYX where you get 5 grams. But for $1.79 its perfect. You get a very good value for your money.

I'm over the "wear kohl everyday" phase so now I just like to line my upper lid and put this pencil on the water line. Yes it is great for waterline as well. I'm thinking of trying out other shades as well. There are matte as well as glittery shades in the range.

End Note: I'm really very impressed with this pencil. Its a perfect and cheap dupe for NYX with beautiful range of colors. Though the variety of colors is a bit less then NYX but still the ones by L.A colors are very appealing.

Where to Buy: L.A Colors website, Beauty Joint, Pakistani girls can grab these from Lush Grooming bargains at very reasonable rate. they are taking orders for beautyjoint right now.

Price: $1.75 or 320Pkr

Review-BH Cosmetics Topical Shimmer Palette

I really like Shimmer shades but I stopped buying them some time back because of the bad experiences I had with some of them. But my love for shimmer started again with this palette. I'm talking about the BH cosmetics 88 Color Tropical Shimmer Palette.
88 Color Tropical Shimmer Palette
Devastate them all with your sexy, tropical shimmer. Warm summer sands gleam with fresh ocean sprays of crystalline blues and sea jewel greens. Sunburst oranges and fiery pinks burn with glimmering glamour. Soft pelican grays and pearly browns add a hint of coolness.

My Experience:
As I said shimmer shadows have always remained my love. This palette adds to the liking. If we look at the packaging its a sleek plastic palette with mirror and two sponge applicators. The usual one that most of the companies who sell 88 colors have.
I love greens and emeralds in this palette they are truly enchanting and look equally beautiful on eyes.Other than that I'm so happy with the choice of browns this palette gives me. There are so many different shades of brown which is a plus for me because I'm a sucker for browns and neutrals on eyes. There's one true gold in there as well.It actually contains the shades of basic colors like blues greens and pinks rather than the colors themselves. You wont find the true blue pink or green in there.
I would've loved it even more if there was a pure black in the palette. I know its a subtle palette but even then, black is a necessary color whatever the theme of shades.Maybe its just me because I'm the kind of person who just can't live without adding black to eyes. There is a blackish charcoal in the palette but it's not intense enough. But the range of charcoals is just awesome.I think i should start trying charcoals on my eyes too.
I really like the texture and pigmentation of the shades. They are smooth, get picked up easily and deliver a good pigmentation. My favorite part is that the shimmer is not over the top. Its just perfect to add to the glam without making your eyes look like a shimmer bomb. Since the shimmer is so tiny,it wont fall off or spread on the entire lid.
I think this has to be my favorite shimmer palette with a great variety of subtle colors.Even if you're a matte fan, you'll most probably like it.

Where to Buy: BH Cosmetics
Price: Its on Sale for $13.62 right now. Actual price is $20.95

Stay  tuned because I'll be having this palette as a giveaway soon.

Review- Luscious Perfect Brows Kit

Eyebrows play a huge role in your over all look. They Don't call it the frame of the face for no reason. This time I'm reviewing the Perfect Brows Kit by Luscious Cosmetics

Luscious Perfect Brows Tool Kit
An ingenious mirrored tool kit packed with everything you need for perfectly groomed eyebrows at home or on the go! Give your brows the VIP treatment with these brow essentials:
-Mini Tweezer: to pluck stray brow hairs
-Brow Wax: to shape and define brows
-Brow Powder: to fill in gaps and hold brows in place
-Clear Mascara: for touch-ups on the go
-Angled Brow Brush: for applying the wax and powder

L-R: Mini Tweezers,Brush,Eyebrow Pencil and

My Experience:
As much as I love doing my eyebrows,I hate going all the way to the salon every now and then just to get them done.I feel a bit Untidy when my brows grow bushy I wonder if any of you guys feel the same.
Anyway, lets talk about the product now. This Kit basically has everything you need to shape up your brows.Tweezers,Pencil,Brow gel,Brow Powder,Clear Mascara and brush.Apart from that I love the pink color of the case. Its so nice and girly.
I think the mini tweezers are really cute.I found them good at plucking out the extra hair above and below my brows.I had already plucked out my thick hair a week before I got this kit so I had very fine hair and a few small ones that started appearing since a week had passed.I was able to clear up the whole area around  my brows with these tweezers
Then comes the brow powder and pencil. My Kit was Medium to dark and both the powder and pencil matched my brow hair perfectly. They did a good job at intensifying the hair and coloring the skin underneath my brows.
My Favorite Items from the Kit are the Brow Gel and Clear Mascara. You can call these Tamers for your brow hair. They actually helped me create that arch in my brows.( I love arched brows). The wax shapes and aligns them in one place and the mascara helps them stay in this position for hours. You've GOT to try this if you want to align and lift up your brows.
I created an extension using the pencil at the end of the brows for a sleek shape.
I'm so glad the the kit has a mirror big enough for my eye area to fit in to help me pluck the hair better as I do it only in sunlight.( I can't thread my hair :(  )
Because of the small size of this kit, it's really handy to carry around in your bag.The brow shape can be maintained using the clear mascara anytime.
Personally I think this kit can save me from salon trips. If you have a habit of maintaining the shape of your brows at your home yourself, this is going to work really well. And if you like your brows to get done by your beautician, you can still use the brow wax and mascara to lift up your brows
If it was for me I would've bought it just for the brow wax, powder and the mascara. They are amazing at making my eye brows look lifted and in shape.
Over All I adore this mini kit.I don't leave the house without shaping my brows now.

Where To Buy: Luscious Cosmetics
Price: 975Pkr

Have you guys used this kit?what do you use for doing eyebrows?

Review,Swatches and EOTD- 180 Color Eyeshadow Palette By Beauties Factory

180 color eye-shadow palette by Beauties Factory UK is under test today.

My Experience:
I saw this 180 Color palette at beauties factory UK for the first time and the first thing that struck my mind was 180 colors?how many shades can they come up with? but then I realized that it's not actually a totally matte or shimmer palette. It's a mix of warm, shimmer and matte shades.
So basically what you get in this 180 color palette is 3 plates containing 60 colors each. The top plate contains all the neutral/warm colors, the middle has all the shimmer ones while the one at the bottom contains matte/neon colors.
The case is definitely a bit heavy because of the large amount of colors it has.The whole palette reached me in perfect condition. This was such a relief.Other than that they had done every possible thing to protect the palette from damage. It was nicely bubble wrapped and each palette was covered in two plastic sheets tightly.
The first thing I do with any palette is check it's black. It usually tells me whether the whole palette is nicely pigmented or not and damn its black was so rich!
The matte colors are really smooth and silky and readily get picked up by the brush.I only need two swipes to get the full intensity of most of the colors.
I noticed a bit of fall out from some of the matte colors but rest of them were just fine.
Each eye-shadow is about the size of Pakistani one rupee coin. So they are actually bigger then the 88 color warm palette I reviewed a couple of months back.I think this is the reason why you get fluctuating rates of palettes on e-bay.The ones that are cheaper might have smaller pans.
They sent a cute small brush set along with the palette.I'm really happy with how soft it is.Its actually usable.
Below are some swatches and two EOTD's I did with the palette.

Over all I would say its a saver deal. Instead of buying matte shimmer and warm palettes separately you can just buy this palette, which has almost all the range of colors without repetition and takes less space as well. The quality is awesome too.So this palette definitely gets a recommendation from my side.
