Luscious Lip Couture Melted Lipsticks- Review & Swatches

My Thoughts

There's nothing I love more than pigmented long lasting lipsticks. These "Melted Lipsticks" by luscious are just what you'd expect from liquid lipsticks that you see all around the market nowadays except luscious has upped their game with introducing both matte and glossy finish in the line, so If you're someone who dreaded the liquid lipsticks because of how dry they feel on the lips, you might wanna check out the glossy version of these melted lipsticks.
Lets get into the matte ones first. The texture of these is somewhat similar to Nyx Soft matte lip creams except the ones by luscious are far more vibrant and pigmented, atleast the two I got are. They set as soon as you apply them on your lips so you need to work quickly. Paparazzi is a cool toned mauve which appears purple if I layer too much on my lips. Selfie is a bright "In your face" kinda orange and if you're into vibrant oranges you'll love this. The lasting time is pretty good as well, Selfie lasted on me for almost 8 hours and left a beautiful orange tinge behind.
If you've been following and using luscious products since a while you might remember the original Lip couture liquid lipsticks that luscious had a while back. I was a huge fan of those and was quite upset when they discontinued them but to my surprise these glossy melted lipsticks are almost exactly like the old version of lip couture. I absolutely love maestro since I'm a complete nude lip junkie and its just that perfect neutral pinky everyday colour that you can put on everyday without looking over the top. Red carpet is your very popular pinkish-red shade that's both day and night time appropriate. I sometimes just smear a little bit with my fingertip on my lips to give a nice reddish tint for a natural look. The lasting time is not as good as the matte ones obviously since they do transfer but I'd say being glossy they still last a good amount of time.

Final Verdict:

I absolutely love these melted lipsticks and will definitely try out more shades. The matte ones score a little more just because I love matte lipsticks and there are so many shades you will definitely find something for your taste in the range. Definitely a must try.

My Experience:

The moment I saw the label "lip lacquers", I knew they were something to look out for. Rimmel Apocalips come in 8 different shades and I feel that the collection leans more towards pinks. I've got Luna and Nova.

Luna is a beautiful peachy nude shade and as much as I loved it at first sight (I'm a sucker for peaches/nudes), it was not the right kind of nude peach for my skintone (for the record, I'm NC25). It will, however, look gorgeous on lighter skins. I usually wear it over a darker lipstick just so that it tones down a little and I don't look too washed out. Nova is a bright pink that looks kind of fuchsia on my lips.This will suit most of the skin tones.

The texture of these lip lacquers is very creamy and glides on smoothly across my lips. It also keeps lips moisturized as long as it stays on. Now I see why it's being loved by so many girls out there, the pigmentation is amazing. It's really rich and opaque and you get a good amount of color just by a single stroke of the brush. 

Since the product is a hybrid between lipstick and lipgloss, the staying power is somewhat in between too. It's much better then lipgloss, but not like a lipstick. But for a liquidy lip product, it lingers on well. I have a really bad lip biting/eating habit so I've to be extra careful with these on. Out of both, Nova (being a darker color) holds on better on my lips and leaves a tint behind as well.

The applicator comes with a small "dent", so when you take it out of the tube, it has enough amount of product accumulated in there to cover your lips so you don't have to dip the applicator back and forth.

Like most of Rimmel's lip products, these come with a scent too. To me, they smell exactly like their Color show off and kate moss matte lipsticks. It's a citrusy cherry kind of scent and I personally really like it.

I think these lip lacquers are definitely worth a try because of the texture and pigmentation. The color payoff is amazing and it's perfect for both day and night depending on the color you choose.

My Experience:

You can never beat Korean cosmetics when it comes to naming and packaging of a product. They are just adorable. The name "Jelly" and the bright orange shade was what attracted me to this one.

The shade I have is "peach berry" which got me a little confused since the tube was orange but when I swatched it on my hand it came out extremely sheer, more like a very light peachy shade. That's why they included the name peach. The tint is very sheer and the color doesn't show until you layer it up( obviously because it's a tint). 

I found the applicator of this tint to be quite unique. It's not your regular brush or sponge applicator but rather a very small and flexible spatula. This my first lip product with this kind of applicator. But amazingly it doesn't effect the application.It's as easy as the regular applicators.

The fun part for me was definitely it's scent and taste. It tastes exactly like mint and smells like it too. I so love it!. Not only that it also leaves a very cooling sensation on my lips which lingers on for a good amount of time. I'm obsessed with the mint taste and I just can't help eating it unconsciously which is pretty weird.

As far as the name jelly is concerned, It definitely doesn't have the texture of a jelly but it's very soft and smooth. They say it has fibroblast collagen which is supposed to increase the synthesis of glycosaminoglycan to make you lips appear fuller. I do feel my lips look more pouty but they do not increase in size. It's because of the high amount of gloss I think.

I also like the fact that it's fairly inexpensive. So your budget won't shake while trying this out.

End Note: Love this tiny tube! I have to admit I usually put this tint on just for the menthol flavour and the cooling effect on lips.

My Experience:

It's the first lip product that I've tried containing so many healthy ingredients.Honey,Vitamin C, Millet, jojoba, Apricot kernel seed oils, All of this sounds amazing doesn't it?

Okay so this gloss is quite thick, but not at all sticky. It applies well all over the lips and makes them  feel extremely smooth. It's not heavy on my lips either which came as a surprise since most of the thick glosses tend to feel heavy. Since honey is the main ingredient here, it definitely tastes and smells like it. It's very sweet but not at all over powering. 

Lolita looks like a vibrant pink inside the tube, but on lips, it comes off very sheer. Since my lips are pretty pigmented, the color showed up very light so it's perfect for everyday use.I do use a lipbalm on daily basis but since it doesn't last long, I end up biting my lips because I cant stand those flakes coming off my lips.

I totally love the lasting power of this gloss. It's probably the longest wearing gloss I've ever tried. For the first 4 hours, it looks fresh as if I just applied it. After that the gloss starts to fade a little. So I'd say it lasts for 5-6 hours. 

The packaging is cute. The golden urban decay cap really makes it pop and stand out. The tube is small but since a very little amount of product is needed, it's probably gonna last very long

End Note: I'd say it's going to be Loved by those who are looking for long lasting, heavily nourishing lip treatment. The hint of color makes it very wearable.This was definitely a big hit for me.  For those of you who are looking for an opaque color payoff, this might not be the best choice. Along with that, it may put some poeple off since it has a sweet scent and taste, particularly those who don't like honey.

Review- Sleek Pout Polish

A couple of months back I ordered a few items from just4girls.pk. Sleek's pout polish was one of them.

My Experience:

This season, I'm officially obsessed with tinted lipbalms.I cannot explain how dry and chapped my lips are throughout the year. Fascinated by the name "pout polish" I decided to give sleek's tinted lip conditioner a try.

This pout polish turned out exactly how I expected it to be. I had gone through numerous reviews before ordering the color and thankfully electro peach was my perfect shade. At first I was a little scared by seeing that dark reddish coral balm in the pot since I'm not at all a fan of red bold lips but upon application, it looked a very pretty light coral color.

Being a "tinted" balm it's color payoff is extremely good. I don't know for the lighter colors, but this one sure does show up on your lips with the very first application.

I have to say I do really like the packaging. It's nothing too special but the pot still attracts me alot.It's one of those products that I'd like to get the whole range of and keep them in my vanity just because they look nice.

The pot is much lighter than I was thinking it would be since it looked like a heavy glass pot on the internet. But it's quite light weight. Perfect to carry around.However I do have a problem here. It can be pretty unhygienic to dip your finger in the pot again and again. I try to apply it with a lip brush but when in rush, I have to put my finger in. Make sure your fingers are clean and NEVER let anyone else apply your balm with their finger.

The polish has an SPF 15 which is nice since none of my other balms have it. I has a warm vanilla-ish scent which is quite pleasing but not over powering. 

Since the formula is very moisturising it's staying power is not good. I'm talking about the color here. But hey! Its a lipbalm, color is not our concern. As for the conditioning effect, I love it. It leaves my lips soft and keeps me away from biting them again and again. I'm for sure getting more colors but I've heard that MUA lip balms are great too and half the price so lets see whether I go for them or I end up buying the pout polish again. 

End Note: Sleek's pout polish is my absolute favourite. I reach for it daily since I get moisture on my lips along with a nice tint. I'd totally recommend getting these.

My Experience:
Felt Tip Marker! That's what popped up in my mind when I first saw it. This sort of lip tint is definitely new for me.

Carry on cherry is a deep pinkish red cherry color. Seeing the color at first,I was pretty reluctant for packing my lips with it since I'm a total bare lips kind of person. But to my surprise,It showed up nice on me.
I first stained my lips heavily with the tint,just to check how opaque the color is. Yes,it was pretty  pigmented.I liked it,but since it was too dark for my taste,in the next trial I put it keeping a very light hand,smudging it all over the lips with my fingers. This produced the result I wanted. I was left with a very natural pinkish color all over my lips which looked very pretty.


If I were to explain it's texture, I'd simply say it's just like a marker. But this also means that it's quite drying as well. Here's where the lip balm at the other end comes in. Just apply it after the tint has dried out(which takes a fraction of seconds) to achieve a glossy finish.


Okay so here's the thing I like most about this tint,It's staying power. Once you apply it on your lips,it will stay in place for hours.Whether you eat or drink,it would hardly get transferred. Specially if you don't have the balm on.

The thing that I didn't like about this tint was that it's tip is small for applying all over your lips. It's more like a li pliner.and since it dries so quickly,you have to work with it quickly to get it applied evenly on your lips. Also it's a bit hard to get rid of too. I apply Vaseline to get it off my lips but an effort is still needed, If i'm removing within a short time span.


End Note: Being a lip tint,it's a pretty good product. Color pay off is nice and staying power is just amazing. Perfect for those who work but can't afford to refresh the color on lips again and again.The balm is a nice inclusion,but it's quantity is quite less.

My Lips with Max Vinyl Gloss

My Experience:

First of all i really like how big the pack is.It looks so classy and stands out in my lipgloss compartment. The wand and brush are huge too,making it easier to apply the gloss. It gives a very nice and smooth application 

The color i have is 301 Addictive which is a fuchsia color with bright pink sparkles which are extremely tiny.

This gloss has a scent of ice-cream syrup.i personally don't like ice-cream syrup so i didn't like the scent but it doesn't stop me from wearing it since it gets okay after a few minutes of application.

The thing i liked the most was the cool sensation it gives to my lips. It feels so good! 

The staying Power of this gloss is about 2-3 hours depending on the weather but i observed that after some hours it starts accumulating in the fine lines of my lips.

It is very light weight and moisturizing lip gloss with a nice smooth texture thus it makes the lips look very soft and smooth. It hides the fine lines of lips when you apply it so gives a plumped up effect.

The pigmentation is very good and the true color shows up in the first application.You can always build it up to intensify it but i don't think you'll need to do that.

FINAL NOTE: It's a very nice gloss with big chunky packaging.It glides on super smooth and make your lips look pouty and funky. Love the tiny glitter in it.

Today's review is going to be about some products from Ellis faas cosmetics.

I got a very nice variety. It includes a Lipgloss,Eyeshadow and Blush.

They come in these sleek pointed pens. They came when i was out of town so brother received them,he called me and said "you got some pens in mail" and i'm like "what? i never ordered pens,where did they come from?" and he goes like "umm ellis....ellas.....oh i think they are eye lashes!"  Then i got the idea they must be Ellis Faas.

You twist the bottom of the pens for the product to come out.

The LipGloss and Eyeshadow comes with a brush tip applicator while the blush has a sponge applicator.

Glazed Lips Lip gloss in L309

Glazed Lips

I think it has that perfect consistency that i want in a lipgloss.

The brush is just so good i actually use it a lot now. For applying my lipstick and lipglosses both. I also use it to make my matte lipstick glossy I just sweep the brush on top of the lipstick,Twist the bottom,when the liquid comes it gets mixed with the lip color and looks like a lip gloss.

I'll continue to use the brush even if the gloss finishes.

Light Eyes Eye shadow in E303

Lights

Ellis created Lights that are much much more than just highlighters. Although liquid, they dry upon application to create the illusion of metallic eyes.  The texture appears moist whilst being perfectly dry with a smooth finish, so you won't feel any stickiness and you'll avoid those pesky eyelid creases.  The Lights are available in five shimmering shades: warm silver, green-gold, bronze, lilac and holographic Bordeaux.

This is a bright bronze color with gold under tones.

The consistency of this eyeshadow is more to the liquid side.

I like the pigmentation.It's very well pigmented that means you need a very small amount but when you twist the pen,alot of the product comes out immediately and it gets hard to control. Also its not very easy to blend the color with the brush it has.The liquid spreads all over the lid.So basically they are best for using alone on the entire lid.

It dries pretty fast so you have to work quickly with it.

The thing that impressed me was that even though they are liquid,i didn't notice any creasing with these.

They look like i have something metallic and wet on my eyes even though they are dry.

This probably the most unique blush that i have in my collection.

This too,is not a cream blush but a bit liquidy one. I like the applicator that it comes with.It's easy to use you just pat it on the apples of your cheeks and blend with fingers.It's actually very travel friendly.

It's more like a bronzing color and is so very pigmented.It doesn't feel sticky because it dries out within a fraction of second. It's a great color for winters actually to give your skin some life and glow since it has a dewy finish.

 Final Note  I love how Ellis Faas brings unique and high quality products. You won't regret buying these and making them a part of you makeup collection. If you love trying out different brands(like me) there's no reason for leaving this one out.
