Review- NYX Rouge Cream Blush

I've been really wanting to do a review on the NYX rouge cream blush since ages. They are so popular and most of the makeup junkies have them in their stashes.

My Experience:
You guys already know how I like cream blushes better than powders because of the natural and glowy finish they give and not to mention the ease with which they blend in skin.
I had my eyes on NYX cream blush since a very long time because they are so much loved and now I see why.
The shade I have is "rose petal" which is a natural rosy pink colour and I think it suits me very well and will probably suit those lighter than me. I'm a mix of NC20 and NC25 by the way. So basically it will go with light to medium skin tones. I had such a hard time choosing a shade since they come in a wide variety from orange to golds and each of the colours is equally gorgeous

I love how creamy this blush is. I wasn't actually expecting the texture to be this soft and smooth. After trying out CoverGirl and Olay's cream blush ( read review here ), I thought the NYX one would feel the same but no,it's much more creamy.
The first time I dipped my stippling brush in the pan,I applied it on my cheeks without even looking how much the bristles picked up and this left my cheeks loaded with the product. In simple words It's heavily pigmented! I was so used to my old cream blushes that I applied the same amount as I did with them, but now I keep a very light hand while applying this blush. It gives a dewy finish unlike the CoverGirl and Olay cream blush which leans more towards a matte result.
Whether you apply it with a brush or your fingers tips, It blends beautifully in the skin and if the shade is a perfect match for your skin, It will look like you have a natural flush of colour on your cheeks.

But there are some features that don't work for me, Since it's so creamy I skip it during those scorching hot days, not only that,I don't even carry it in my bag when the temperature outside gets over the top because I fear that it's texture might get altered and since the packaging is light plastic too,I can't take any risks. It also has the tendency to get off the skin a bit early when the weather is hot.
However for winters, This is an ideal blush for obvious reasons. Rich creamy and smooth. I noticed that because of the soft texture,They can also be used on lips. I have tried it and works fine for me.

End Note: Creamiest of all drugstore blushes, the NYX cream blush ranks higher in terms of texture, pigmentation and price. It might not work that well in summers specially for those living in hot climatic conditions, but it's definitely a great pick for winters and spring. Comes in lots of shades and cannot be skipped if you're a blush lover.

Where To Buy: Blanc2Noir online shop. They deliver fast and my package didn't get lost so thumbs up for that.
Price: $4.90 at Blanc2Noir. Regular price is $6.50

Anyone else tried it? Which cream blush do you prefer?

Nyx Illuminating Body Bronzer In Chaotic-Swatch

My Experience:
I,for some reason,am obsessed with NYX. Specially their cheek products. I don't even know the reason but  they attract me so much.
I was definitely delighted to see these new bronzers across the web. They have five shades in the matte bronzer range and three in the illuminating ones. The matte shades are ALL variations of browns while the ones under illuminating category are two browns and one pink called "Chaotic",which is the one I have.

Chaotic is a very soft basic pink color. It is pretty lighter than how it's shown on the site, but then again,NYX is infamous for the misleading swatches of several products. It also has silver shimmer in it.  I was a bit surprised (and happy at the same time)to see this one on the site because the name of the product says "Bronzers". But I can definitely tell that this shade has been added for a person like me,who would go for blushes rather than bronzers. I do like bronzers alot but blushes are what I reach mostly for.Secondly I'm very picky about bronzers too,I don't usually buy them unless I see how they turn out on my skin or checkout a swatch from other sites on the web. But since I couldn't find swatches of these ones,I went for chaotic.

The main thing that attracted me to the these bronzers was the picture they have displayed on the box. Have you seen it? It doesn't show up very well in my pictures but the girl has a beautiful glow on her cheeks. And I dig glowy looks (remember me getting sleek's illuminator?). So this was the main reason why I was so eager to try this out. But it didn't quite give the effect that I was hoping for probably because the shimmer specks are a bit larger in size than they shouldn've been if they were to produce a glow. But if we forget about the image shown, the result it gives is very nice.

The pigmentation is extremely good here and I had such an ease at creating the swatch. My brush picks up alot of the powder which is more than enough for both of me cheeks. I'm very impressed with the pigmentation. The texture too,is very soft and silky.

I like the packaging,it's simple black yet looks very nice but most importantly it has a round mirror inside the lid which is big enough for me to apply the bronzer easily. It's quite sleek and easy to pop in your bag while travelling. The amount of product pretty decent, and will go a long way keeping in mind that very less product is needed.

It appears very natural and rosy on my cheeks. Since it's a very safe pink, it will suite most of the skin tones. It's better for night time wear because of the slight sparkly finish it gives. Over here,by sparkly I do not at all mean  those overloads of glitter all over the cheeks. The amount of shimmer is not alot in there but just enough to glam up your look a bit.

End Note: I truly adore this bronzer...well blush actually. It's perfect for everyday wear and shows up on my cheeks immediately. The pigmentation is amazing and stays on for a long time. So this product totally gets a thumbs up from me.
