I've been really wanting to do a review on the NYX rouge cream blush since ages. They are so popular and most of the makeup junkies have them in their stashes.
My Experience:
You guys already know how I like cream blushes better than powders because of the natural and glowy finish they give and not to mention the ease with which they blend in skin.
I had my eyes on NYX cream blush since a very long time because they are so much loved and now I see why.
The shade I have is "rose petal" which is a natural rosy pink colour and I think it suits me very well and will probably suit those lighter than me. I'm a mix of NC20 and NC25 by the way. So basically it will go with light to medium skin tones. I had such a hard time choosing a shade since they come in a wide variety from orange to golds and each of the colours is equally gorgeous
I love how creamy this blush is. I wasn't actually expecting the texture to be this soft and smooth. After trying out CoverGirl and Olay's cream blush ( read review here ), I thought the NYX one would feel the same but no,it's much more creamy.
The first time I dipped my stippling brush in the pan,I applied it on my cheeks without even looking how much the bristles picked up and this left my cheeks loaded with the product. In simple words It's heavily pigmented! I was so used to my old cream blushes that I applied the same amount as I did with them, but now I keep a very light hand while applying this blush. It gives a dewy finish unlike the CoverGirl and Olay cream blush which leans more towards a matte result.
Whether you apply it with a brush or your fingers tips, It blends beautifully in the skin and if the shade is a perfect match for your skin, It will look like you have a natural flush of colour on your cheeks.
But there are some features that don't work for me, Since it's so creamy I skip it during those scorching hot days, not only that,I don't even carry it in my bag when the temperature outside gets over the top because I fear that it's texture might get altered and since the packaging is light plastic too,I can't take any risks. It also has the tendency to get off the skin a bit early when the weather is hot.
However for winters, This is an ideal blush for obvious reasons. Rich creamy and smooth. I noticed that because of the soft texture,They can also be used on lips. I have tried it and works fine for me.
End Note: Creamiest of all drugstore blushes, the NYX cream blush ranks higher in terms of texture, pigmentation and price. It might not work that well in summers specially for those living in hot climatic conditions, but it's definitely a great pick for winters and spring. Comes in lots of shades and cannot be skipped if you're a blush lover.
Where To Buy: Blanc2Noir online shop. They deliver fast and my package didn't get lost so thumbs up for that.

Anyone else tried it? Which cream blush do you prefer?
Do let me know :)
